Proverbs 13

3 The person who blabbers incessantly will say many things that are directly or indirectly destructive. This person will brag about himself or tear others down all the time. The result is that others become alienated and can not longer trust him. If the blabbermouth gets into trouble (probably from something he said) he may find help and sympathy difficult to obtain.

The wise man will try not to say anything that would endanger himself, others, or his relationships. If the wise man falls into bad times he will probably have a community of support to help him through.
